Notifications

  • Are generated for activities that occurs to any items you are "Following" (Categories, Posts, Members, etc.)

  • They are compiled and listed on the "Notifications" page of your Member account.

    • Click the Bell icon next to your Member name in the upper right hand corner to access your "Notifications" page.

  • Activities that generate notifications are new posts, new comments, likes, etc.

  • You will not receive notifications about activities you create or initiate, only those created or initiated by others to items you are following.

Emails

  • Are controlled by you, regardless of the number of notifications you receive in your account.

  • You will only receive emails for notifications that are in categories you have enabled with the "Email Notifications" button in your Settings.

  • Same as the notifications, you will not receive emails about activities you initiate or create, only those activities created or initiated by others to items you are following.

Notes About "Following"

  • If you create a new post, the system will automatically set your following status to "Following" for that post.  If you don't want to follow your own posts, you will need to specifically un-follow them.

  • If you comment on a post that you are not following, the system will automatically change your following status to "Following" for that post, since it assumes you now have an interest.  If you don't want to follow these posts, you will need to specifically un-follow them.
